 What are some reasons you can think of why an owner would want a calm, obedient and faithful dog? Mainly, obedient and trained dogs are happier dogs, less likely to get into behavioral issues with humans or with other breeds of dogs. Also laws in certain communities require that all dogs living in their area be well trained. This is especially the case for many breeds thought to have aggression and behavior problems like pit bulls and rottweilers for instance.
Don't forget, training your dog well will also make he or she a better well adjusted family companion, especially in homes where there are young children running around. Many studies have shown that proper dog training makes a big impact when it comes to bringing down the incidents of dog bites and other behavior problems encountered by dog owning households. |
